2021 Annual Report

Our CJHS Staff

When we applaud our clients’ successes, we are also recognizing and celebrating the selfless work and support that our staff give daily.

Dedication, leadership, and camaraderie are words that come to mind when describing the CJHS staff team.

102 strong, throughout the pandemic, staff members stepped in when their co-workers were challenged or more help was needed. In 2021, our agency received accreditation from the Canadian Accreditation Council; the youth outreach programs for four years and the Roofs for Youth and agency Governance and Management for three years. CJHS was awarded the United Way of Calgary and Area’s Workplace Excellence Award. This was a proud moment that recognizes the creativity, time and effort that staff spend throughout the year working to raise funds for a dedicated community partner that in turn, builds team spirit and is just plain fun! Speaking of fun, staff organized All Day Staff Meetings, ran a Food Truck Event, hosted a Christmas party and ran our annual awards event, while honouring all of the Covid-19 protocols in place. No small feat! All of this was done while helping our clients access basic needs, mental health and addiction services, find and retain housing, apply for record suspensions, get trained for and then find employment, access learning opportunities and reintegrate successfully from incarceration.
